About the role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you ensure that our supplied products and services meet the highest quality standards.
You work closely with our suppliers and internal teams to guarantee quality from the very beginning – from selecting and qualifying new suppliers to continuously improving existing partnerships. Your contribution plays a key role in ensuring that our machines and systems are known worldwide for reliability and precision.
- Contribute to the selection and qualification of new suppliers – with a focus on product quality
- Plan and carry out initial sample inspections in close coordination with Purchasing
- Support manufacturing processes and acceptances either in-house or directly at the supplier’s site
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between Engineering and suppliers (drawings, bills of materials, technical requirements)
- Conduct supplier evaluations and quality audits
- Work closely with internal departments such as Purchasing, Production, Work Preparation, Engineering, and Supplier Development
- Analyze quality data, derive improvement measures, and ensure their implementation
- Define, monitor, and follow up on corrective actions in case of quality deviations
- Support risk analyses and develop measures to mitigate risks
- Take multi-day or single-day business trips to our suppliers across Europe (focus on DACH & Eastern Europe, approx. 60%), traveling with your company car or by plane
About you
- Technical education, ideally in mechanical engineering or machining technology
- Professional experience, further training, or qualifications in manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, or testing technology
- You are an expert in manufacturing processes/workflows and confident in reading drawings and interpreting tolerances.
- Experience in supplier development with a focus on quality would be ideal
- You’re not the desk-bound type – you enjoy being on multi-day business trips and working independently.
- With your technical understanding, strong communication skills, and sensitivity, you create win-win situations and long-term, equal partnerships.
- You stand out through a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken

We determine the salary / wage together with you. The minimum for this position is 3.519,91 EUR gross per month, working full time. (Collective Agreement: Metalltechnische Industrie)
